Nvidia’s Tegra 4 CPU was announced a few months ago and there were rumors that ZTE was going to be the first to launch a handset with that processor on board. Now these rumors have come true, as the chip maker seems to have trusted the Chinese firm to break out their processing power.

As proof we have the two shots integrated into this article, showing the ZTE N988, supposedly the first phone with the Nvidia Tegra 4 processor on board. The device is already certified for sale, it appears and sadly we don’t have any specs for it just yet, aside from the CPU and what we can see: the 13 megapixel camera at the back.

The rumor mill did produce some hardware details for this model, such as a 5.7 inch 720p display (why not Full HD?), 2 GB of RAM and a chassis that’s 6.9 mm thin, which is very impressive for such a powerful and big screened device. If everything goes well, I expect this device to be launched before the summer starts.
