After a long period of speculation, predictions and leaks, the Nokia Lumia 928 is finally here, with a Pureview camera on board and ready for its Verizon debut. The handset comes with optical image stabilization and it’s aimed at a May 16th debut, priced at $100 on Verizon contract.

The device seems to keep the camera on the Lumia 920, an 8.7 megapixel shooter with Carl Zeiss f/2.0 lens, plus a powerful Xenon flash this time. There’s also a high power microphone (or two) and a 4.5 inch OLED 1280 x 768 pixel display, with Gorilla Glass protection. Inside the phone we find a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, a 2000 mAh battery and 32 GB of storage.

The handset adopts a more squared design compared to the rounded predecessor and only debuts in black and white for now, unlike the colourful Lumia 920. Extras like contactless charging and NFC are included here, plus the usual Nokia additions like Here maps and Nokia Music. The product debuts next week with a price of $99.99 with a mail in rebate and also $25 in credit for Windows Phone apps and games.

Nokia Lumia 928 offers the user a 26 mm wide angle Carl Zeiss lens and you should know that this is quite a bulky newcomer with a case that’s 0.5 mm thicker than the Lumia 920. Verizon’s 4G LTE will of course be present.
