After Google I/O ended there were a bunch of rumors saying that Android 4.3 is actually going to be launched on a white Nexus 4 in June or the Nexus 7 2 in July. The first version seems to be closer to reality, since today we came across some official press images of the Nexus 4 in white.
The handset was recently tipped for a June 10th launch, with Android 4.3 on board, but we have yet to receive official confirmation. The white Nexus 4 is codenamed E960W, following the original Nexus 4 and its codename E960. The press pic shows that the product is ready to hit the market, so the next days will probably bring a release.
The specs are the same, in spite of the fact that people were expecting a 32 GB version. This is still an 8GB/16GB affair, with a quad core Snapdragon chipset, 2 GB of RAM and probably lacking LTE. I wonder what the appeal of this model is supposed to be, other than the color. Only Android 4.3 could make this product more attractive…
