Nokia’s EOS smartphone was all over the web this week, leaking from several sources and in a variety of pictures. While we’re still lacking solid specs, the folks of Vizileaks were fortunate enough to grab an EOS model and do a hands on experience with it.

The handset they took for a spin is massive and black and apparently it’s quite heavy and bulky. The front keeps the Fabula Design format, while the back integrates a huge camera module, that we also got to see on the inside, courtesy of some leaks. We can’t tell if the device is metal or premium polycarbonate and not even people who played with the phone could.

It appears that from the front you can mistake this for a Lumia 920, but the raised camera at the back makes it stand out. At the top we’ve got a micro SIM card tray, the audio jack and noise cancellation microphone, while at the bottom there’s a drilled speaker grille and microUSB socket. Also on the back you can find 2 metal contacts for wireless charging, just like those present on the Nokia Lumia 925.

There’s a video demo below showcasing the amazing optical focus abilities of the device and its potential mechanical shutter, although that one has yet to be confirmed:
