The LG Optimus G2 is one of the most awaited handsets of the year, especially because it may just be the first model to REALLY adopt an edge to edge display design, not the so called edge to edge from Motorola’s last year RAZRs. Anyway, now we get some screenshots of the handset’s UI, shown below.

It appears that the LG Optimus G2 will support a Full HD resolution and it will use one screen virtual buttons, leaving the handset’s facade empty of physical buttons. There’s also a rumor about the lack of volume buttons, that have somehow been placed on the back. This makes us wonder just how crazy thin this model is?!

LG Optimus G2 is expected to pack a 5 inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.3 GHz, Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel camera. The device is supposed to run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with LG’s Optimus UI on top. Also at the event that LG is hosting in New York in August we’ll see the LG Optimus L9 II launched, together with a lower end unit called LG D500.
