Coolpad is an Asian company famous for making affordable devices, such as the brand new Coolpad 8295 handset, with a quad core CPU and 5 inch display. The price tag here is $130 and this model makes me think of a Samsung device for some reason.
Usually, such devices go in the range of $160 or even $150, but $130 is really unheard of. Xiaomi is the kind of company to make such cool offers, but now they’ve got an alternative: Coolpad. The Coolpad 8295 smartphone packs a 5 inch display, a 5 megapixel camera and a 1.2 GHz processor. By the way, the screen supports a qHD resolution and the case seems to be all plastic, judging by the pics.
This model is all TD-SCDMA, so it will probably never leave China. No idea what the internal storage is, but it could be anywhere between 4 GB and 16 GB, with a microSD card slot probably in the mix. I’m guessing that at least Android 4.1 should be available on this unit…
