The LG G Flex has been shown to the press before, but it’s only today that it gets an official unveiling. The device is a curved handset, just like the Samsung Galaxy Round, but this time the curve is from the top to the bottom.
This handset packs a 6 inch 720p screen, a 2.26 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel camera and a 3500 mAh battery. LG claims that the curved display is more ergonomic, following the face contours of the user. G Flex also improves call quality by placing the microphone next to the user’s mouth.
The G Flex also debuts one of the world’s first curved batteries and on the software side we get a QTheater feature, with quick access to photos, videos and YouTube and Dual Window for more effective multitasking. At the back we find the volume and On/Off buttons of the LG G2 and also at the back LG implemented a self healing coating, that recovers from the daily wear and fixes itself.
The product goes live next month in South Korea.
