Huawei is one of the Windows Phone partners who is still standing, in spite of Nokia’s total domination. They’ve just debuted a new model, that will come at an unknown budget price and it will hit the shops in Europe this month.

This is follow up to the Huawei Ascend W1, a pretty decent WP8 unit, that we reviewed months ago. The handset goes head to head against the Lumia 520, if you look at its specs. We’re dealing here with an IPS LCD 4.3 inch handset, that supports a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and it even works if you’re wearing gloves.

The handset measures 9.9 mm in thickness, weighs 160 grams and comes in a variety of colors, including black, blue, red and yellow. Inside we find a Snapdragon MSM8230 processor, a dual core 1.4 GHz chipset with Adreno 305 GPU and 512 MB of RAM. There’s also 8 GB of built in storage and no expansion slot.

At the back we find a 5 megapixel camera with 720p video capture and on the connectivity side there’s 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. Finally, under the hood there’s a 1700 mAh battery.
