After seeing that very promising Idou 12 MP cameraphone getting announced by Sony Ericsson, it’s time for yet another Cyber-shot-Walkman hybrid to become famous. This is Walkman W995 we’re talking about, formerly known as Hikaru and packing incredible specs.
Sony Ericsson W995 comes with an 8 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and 16x digital zoom, plus an image/video stabiliser, face detection, picture and video blogging. The device also features Clear Stereo and Clear Bass audio enhancement technologies and Shake Control, that allows users to change tunes and control the volume through gestures.
The new Walkman device also includes a 3.5 mm audio jack, TrackID, Bluetooth with A2DP, a YouTube player and an accelerometer on its specs list. This handset will be bundled with an 8 GB Memory Stick Micro M2 card and a pair of HPM-77 headphones. We also learned that W995 comes with WiFi, a-GPS, an FM receiver and a 2.6 inch TFT display.
Start looking for this beauty in the shops during Q2, 2009 and you’ll probably find out more about it, as Mobile World Congress 2009 continues.
