It appears that not only LG and Vivo offer us QHD handsets this year, but also Alcatel, who is preparing a brand new One Touch phone with high end specs. The newcomer is the Alcatel One Touch D820, that’s detailed below.

Alcatel used to be a low end and midrange players, but ever since they’ve been taken over by a Asian firm they’ve expanded and evolved. The specs of the Alcatel One Touch D820 have leaked via GFXBench and they reveal the presence of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, a 4.5 inch display with an impressive 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, particularly impressive for such a small diagonal.

There’s a MediaTek MT6595 quad core 1.8 GHz processor inside, a Power VR Rogue Han GPU as well, OpenGL ES 3.0 support, 2.8 GB of RAM (basically 3 GB), 12 GB of storage and a curious camera setup. It would appear that there’s a 7 megapixel rear camera with 4K video ability and a 7 MP front camera also with 4K. Finally, we’ve got an accelerometer, barometer, GPS, gyro and proximity sensor on board.

The camera is the really interesting part here, making us wonder if Alcatel have gone the Ultrapixel way…
