Apple’s iPhone 6 has apparently passed the certification process of Thai authorities and we’re talking about two flavours of the device here: the A1524 and the A1586. We don’t have more details aside from the codenames, but this matter sounds interesting.

One could speculate that the two codenames are associated to the iPhone 6 4.7 inch model and the 5.5 inch model. As far as we’ve heard the iPhone 6 5.5 incher is the A1524 and the 4.7 inch smartphone is the A1586. However, previous rumors claimed that the iPhone 6 phablet was meant to arrive later than the 4.7 inch unit, so we don’t know what to believe anymore. I expect the Chinese FCC, aka TENAA to approve these handsets any minute now.

Also, the US FCC shouldn’t stay idle and do the same thing. The iPhone 6 is not exactly a well kept secret, seeing how many leaks we’ve had to deal with over the past months. Now that we’re weeks away from its debut, I even expect a functional unit to be powered on in a video.
