This handset is a 5.5 incher phablet with a Quad HD resolution and the Aurora brings a 20.7 megapixel Sony camera, with F/1.8 aperture, plus a flash with excellent color temperature. Philips will also bring an “automatic camera” feature on this model, that means the handset will take a picture automatically when you open the camera app, without requiring you to do anything.

Philips Aurora i966 is expected to debut on October 20th in Beijng and it will be equipped with a Snapdragon 801 or 805 quad core processor, 4G LTE connectivity, dual SIM dual standby features and the new YunOS 3.0 from Alibaba. Mobile payments will also be included thanks to the same retailer and we’ll get a fingerprint scanner in the mix as well. Is this finally an appealing flagship from Philips?
