As you found out just a few moments ago, Alibaba launched the YunOS 3.0 custom firmware during a conference held in Beijing. Beside this announcement, there was another product launched during the same event, more precisely a hardware one called Philips i966. If you remember, a few weeks ago we unveiled here the first photos with this device.
In terms of specs, Philips i966 brings a 5.5-inch Quad HD display (534 ppi) covered by glass, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor (MSM8974AC) clocked at 2.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM memory, 32 GB space of internal storage, and a 20.7-megapixel Sony camera on the back with a f/1.8 aperture.
We also get a 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3.000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner, a component that is coming lately on a lot of devices. Getting to price, it seems that this phone is available now for pre-order at a $650 price tag.
