Huawei’s Ascend P8 recently got detailed via leaks and even pictured and on this occasion we found out it was going to feature the HiSilicon Kirin 930 CPU. This is a new generation of chip, that’s now being said to also come to the Huawei Ascend Mate 8.
The Mate 8 and Ascend P8 are expected to debut at MWC 2015 or CES 2015, together with a bunch of other devices. Huawei Mate 8 is said to adopt a 2K display, an octa core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor and 3 GB of RAM, making it sound like a pretty legit phablet to have. It will also get 32 GB of ROM and the release seems to be pretty far in the future, in September 2015. The price is around $653, which is very steep for a supposedly affordable Chinese phablet.
There’s also another model coming, one tentatively called Huawei D8 and also a high end unit. This one gets a full metal body, a 5.5 inch 2K display and a 64 bit processor, as well as 4 GB of RAM and sapphire glass upfront. D8 comes earlier, in May next year. Expect to also see new Huawei Honor products in 2015.
