In spite of the fact that this device was never announced, BenQ Royal got the iF Product Design Award 2009. The smartphone is a candybar handset, that features a color display, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a sensor area below the LCD screen.

This area can be touched by the user, in order to open a menu that grants access to images, audio files and ebooks.

We have no info on this mysterious BenQ phone, but since this is a handset boasting an award, it should be pretty hot and available soon.
