The folks of Mynokiablog must be doing some winter cleaning, since they uncovered an older and unreleased Nokia prototype that had us all nostalgic today. The device is called Nokia E80 and you can check it out below.

It features the typical Nokia built quality, with a solid slider mechanism and excellent finishing. This model is a Symbian QWERTY slider, that never made it into the real world. Its design reminds me of the Nokia E65, while the keyboard part is like a much more compact Nokia E90. Can’t exactly say what the diagonal is, but I’m guessing around 3 inches or so. The keyboard features 4 rows and seems to be pretty well spaced.

There’s a comparison shot showing this device next to a Nokia N-Gage, giving us a better idea of its size. By the way, people were still expecting a new N-Gage even before the Nokia N9 was announced, but that never happened. Anyway, such models will never exist, unless we somehow go back in time and Symbian is cool again.
