Ahead of MWC and CES 2015, it would be expected to see an avalanche of leaks, but actually they’re very rare. Today we stumble upon a phone that’s quite interesting, since it’s not everyday that Sony puts a MediaTek CPU on its handsets.
The Sony Xperia E3 has been available since earlier this fall and now Sony is preparing an E4, that’s shown in the pictures you see here. This leak comes from Poland and includes hands on shots, specs and benchmarks. The Xperia E4 will be officially unveiled at MWC 2015 and it will reach the shops before the end of March. The price tag will be around $200 and there will be two versions of the phone out there: E2105 with a single SIM slot and the E2115 with dual SIM ones.
This newcomer relies on a 5 inch LCD display with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat. An update to Lollipop is also in the cards and inside we find a MediaTek MT6582 quad core processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz, a Mali 400 MP4 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. There’s also a high quality plastic build in the mix, with a ceramic feel to it. This model’s AnTuTu score is decent, around 17857, but only decent for a midrange unit.
