A few hours after HTC sent out press invites for CES 2015, showing the world the shadow of a brand new phone, we get a fresh leak regarding their upcoming flagship HTC Hima/HTC M9. The newcomer, Hima (that by the way means “Dark Horse”) gets an AnTuTu benchmark leak posted on Twitter, courtesy of @upleaks.
The specs are exactly the same with the ones leaked a few days before by the same source. The diagonal seems slightly off, since we knew that we should expect a 5.2 inch screen and now AnTuTu mentions a 5 inch Full HD display. HTC M9 runs Android 5.0.1, relying on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, a powerful upcoming 64 bit processor, with an Adreno 430 GPU and 3 GB of RAM to accompany it.
There’s a front 13 megapixel camera, for excellent selfies and a 20.7 MP back shooter, that sounds like Sony is supplying the sensor for this flagship. When we saw HTC’s press invite for the event next week, we thought we were going to get a special cameraphone, separated from the HTC M9. I still support that theory, in spite of Hima’s cameras sounding very good.
