Not only CES 2015 is going on in the world right now and we’ve seen an Asian event or two over the past days. For example, today in China the Cube i7 high end Windows 8.1 tablet debuted, bringing about 4 GB of RAM and a $579 price tag.
This model also includes in the package a keyboard dock and looks quite nice. The Cube i7 is a 11.6 inch Full HD slate with 10 point multitouch, as well as an Intel Core M Broadwell processor inside, clocked at 2.6 GHz. There’s 4 GB of RAM available, 128 GB of internal storage, Intel HD Graphics 5300 and a 5 megapixel rear camera, as well as a 2 megapixel front shooter.
The product reminds me of a beefier ASUS Transformer Pad and also includes a HDMI port, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0 and even GSM connectivity. Cube i7 weighs 840 grams and is 9.7 mm thick. The most original bit of this product is the docking mechanism and the angle it presents to the user, as shown in the image below.
