It’s been a while since Yahoo! reminded us that they’re a pretty important player in the mobile field, but now they’ve just reached a new stage of development, by launching their next-gen mobile home page.

Available at new.m.yahoo.com from your phone’s browser, the page looks quite neat, as you can see in the screenshot below.

Notice how the new Yahoo! mobile home page integrates news sources, weather and mobile information, plus an innovative “Social Pulse” panel, mixing feeds from Facebook, Twitter and Friendster and showing them in chronological order.

The main drawback of this page is the fact that it uses small fonts, or so they seem on the screen of a Nokia 5800 handset, but “results may vary
