Videocon debuted today two new handsets from the Infinium series. The new models are the Z40Q Star, priced at $72 and the Infinium Z50Q Star, priced at $97. We don’t have any availability data about these models, but let’s see what we can get for less than $100.

Videocon Infinium Z40Q Star packs a 4 inch 480 x 800 pixel display, Android 4.4 KitKat and uses dual SIM slots. It also has a quad core 1.2 GHz processor of unknown origin, probably a Mediatek one. Other specs include 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 5 MP back camera and a front 0.3 MP shooter, plus a 1500 mAh battery.

The Infinium Z50Q Star integrates a bigger 5 inch screen, but the resolution is modest, at 480 x 854 pixels. This device relies on an IPS panel, uses a 1.2 GHz quad core CPU, 4 GB of storage and 1 GB of RAM. It has a microSD card slot, a 5 MP camera, a 0.3 MP front shooter and a 2000 mAh battery. There’s Bluetooth on board, WiFi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, 3G and microUSB.

The handset comes in white, red and blue.
