The Huawei C199s is one of the latest handsets coming from Huawei, a model that’s priced at $367. There’s a bit of back story here, since this device is the follow-up and slightly upgraded version of the C199 and it comes in gold, among other colors.
The newcomer is codenamed 3C199S and keeps the same body design as the C199, plus the same waistline of 7.6 mm. The product has an all metal back, a 5.5 inch 720p screen, but the quad core Snapdragon 1.6 GHz processor has turned into an octa core unit. There’s a 13 MP back camera with F/2.0 aperture and a front 5 MP shooter, good enough for selfies. 4G LTE is also here and the device has a pretty standard design: rounded top and bottom and rectangular format.
There’s a 5.5 inch screen on board, GPS/Glonass and I have to say that the gold version looks kind of hit. There are 2 GB of RAM inside, 16 GB of storage and a 3000 mAh battery. Android 4.4 is the OS here with Emotion UI 3.0 on board. Frankly speaking, I expected the price to be a bit better…
