The folks of Electronista.com had a ball at CTIA 2009, while testing the very hot Garmin-Asus nuvifone M20 handset. This device is smaller than the G60 and looks more like a phone, than a GPS navigator, as opposed to its predecessor.
M20 uses WM 6.1, instead of Linux and it packs a 2.8 inch touchscreen, quite difficult to see when attached to a car mount, unlike the G60 with its 3.55 inch diagonal. The new nuvifone comes with two new buttons and a five way directional keys, plus the Connected Services also available on the last device.
Garmin-Asus nuvifone M20 also features full HTML browsing, via Opera, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents. There’s also geotagging for SMS messages on board, e-mail or photos, plus a 3 megapixel camera with 15 fps QVGA video recording. Last, there’s a pedestrian mode to have fun with, in case you’re the globetrotting type.
