Samsung held its annual Samsung Forum gathering in Thailand this week, where it introduced three new smartphones. They are the Galaxy Grand Prime 4G, Galaxy Core Prime 4G and Galaxy J1 4G.
These are all 4G LTE phones, or better said versions of already existing smartphones with the same name, but with 4G connectivity as extra. The specs are also slightly modified. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G packs a 5 inch qHD display, a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and an 8 megapixel back camera, plus a 2600 mAh battery. Galaxy Core Prime 4G offers a 4 inch WVGA display, a 1.2 GHz quad core CPU and a 5 MP rear cam, as well as 2000 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy J1 4G is based on a quad core 1.2 GHz processor, uses 768 MB of RAM, a 1850 mAh battery and a 4.3 inch WVGA display. The other two units have 1 GB of RAM and all three phones come with microSD card slots by the way. Their OS of choice is KitKat and all of them have dual SIM slots. Prices start at $160 and the devices will go on sale in India in mid March.
