ASUS is keeping busy these days, so after announcing its financial results for the end of the year 2014, now we learn of their plans for March. The company has an event scheduled for March 9th, where it will unveil the ZenFone 2, in series of versions.
Those include the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML and ZenFone 2 ZE550ML, two 5.5 inchers and a 5 inch ZenFone 2. The differences? Well, the ZE551ML packs a Full HD screen and an Intel Atom Z3480 processor, as well as 4 GB of RAM or 2 GB of RAM. The ZE550ML has a HD screen, Intel Atom Z3560 CPU and 2 GB of RAM. ASUS also secretly prepared an interesting gadget for the event: an external Xenon flash.
That one is able to connect to the phone via microUSB and provide a more reliable light source, in order to shoot in the dark. The accessory may remind you of the Lenovo Vibe Xtension, that only connects via the audio jack and comes with a LED flash, plus it only supports the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro handset. It seems that the ASUS external flash will also offer cross brand usage.
