This year at the Mobile World Congress, the South-Korean producer LG arrived with just a couple of mid-range models that packed Android 5.0 Lollipop and rear control buttons. However, a high-end phone was expected by a lot of us even some rumors said that the company’s flagship will be launched later this year.
The name of this upcoming phone is LG G4, smartphone that could bring a smaller display, more precisely a 5.3 inch Quad HD unit. Today we get the chance to see a first press render with the device in case, picture revealed by the @OnLeaks Twitter account (nowhereelse.fr).
As we can notice from the render above, the phone seems to pack a slight curved case similar to the one found on the G Flex 2. Just as the leaker said, the new LG flagship will be a combination between the G3 and the LG G Flex 2, smartphone launched back in January at CES.
In terms of dimensions, it looks that LG G4 will be taller and also thicker than the actual LG flagship, information that contradict the rumor regarding a smaller display. For comparison, the LG G3 measures 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 (L x W x T) while the G4 is supposed to have a 148.9 x 76.5 x 9.9 mm case.
However, @OnLeaks said that this render showed above isn’t the final version of the phone, so we might get some changes once the phone gets released on the market. From the picture we notice the camera with the dual-LED flash, the autofocus laser and the rear-buttons that looks similar to those on the LG G2. It remains to see what other leaks we’ll get in the next couple of weeks with the LG G4. What do you think about this design?
