The US Patent and Trademark Office has officially published 47 new patents granted to Apple, including ones related to the Apple Watch. One of the documents also covers a potential push to talk feature for the iPhone.
The Apple Watch patents are mostly focused on watch bands, for the Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch Edition and regular version. There are 3 versions of straps mentioned: Link bracelet, Sport Band and Modern Buckle. Other patents cover an older model iMac, with a white plastic design and a “Copy” icon. Back to the “push to talk” thing, this service covers a system and method for Push to Talk service to another user via a wireless data packet network.
Verizon was behind most of the Push to Talk initiatives in USA, describing it as the ability to communicate instantly, at the touch of a single button on the phone. It serves mostly companies, allowing a person to make group calls with up to 50 team members, if needed. Pretty impressive, right?
