Even if the fingerprint scanner is a main-stream component that in the past few months was seen on several phones on the market, it seems that Chinese producers are going to the next level after they announced device with iris/retinal scanner. Though it seems hard to believe, some rumors are talking about the fact that Microsft wants to bring such a feature on its upcoming phablet called Lumia 940 XL.

The rumor arrives straight from the popular leaker Evan Blass known on Twitter under te @evleaks nickname. From what he says, it seems that Lumia 940 will skip using a fingerprint scanner, and bring a iris scanner. We thought about the fact that a home button on a Lumia phone would look weird, so this iris scanner could really happen eventually.

According to the leaks arrived a while ago in the press, Lumia 940 XL will pack a 5.7 inch Quad HD panel, a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM memory, 32 GB space of internal storage and a 3.300 mAh battery in the package. Is this enough for your needs?
