After many Micromax, Spice and Lava releases, today we learn of a new debut in India, this time from Intex. The Intex Aqua Q5 has debuted locally, as usual with a sub $100 price tag and decent lower end specs.

The product costs $80 and brings dual SIM support, as well as Android 4.4.2 KitKat on board. Aqua Q5 has a 4.5 inch 480 x 854 pixel display, with a TFT panel in the mix. It’s powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC7731G processor, as well as 1 GB of RAM. The device is also listed as featuring an inbuilt automatic call recorder.

Intex Aqua Q5 brings 8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB and an 8 megapixel back camera with LED flash. There’s also a 2 megapixel shooter in the mix for selfies. On the connectivity front we’ve got 3G, WiFi, microUSB and Bluetooth, while the battery is a 1600 mAh unit, good enough for up to 5 hours of talk time or up to 160 hours of standby time.
