As expected, today August 3rd, Sony officially unveiled its new smartphone called Xperia C5 Ultra, a phablet phone that brings a little bit of novelty when it comes to design. This thing is represented by the front-facing panel with very slim bezels, an element that every one of us admire at a phone these days.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra arrives with a 6-inch Full HD IPS display, an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 clocked at 1.7 GHz (64-bit), an ARM Mali-760 MP2 GPU, and also 2 GB RAM + 16 GB space of internal storage. If 16 GB isn’t enough, then we have a microSD card slot up to 200 GB, so we can have 216 GB on our big-screen smartphone.
On the connectivity side, Sony brought Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, Glonass, NFC, 3G / 4G LTE, Miracast, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microUSB v2.0 port. This phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also a front-facing sensor with the same number of megapixels.
The selfie cam offers autofocus, geo-tagging, video capture at 1080p Full HD and also a front-facing LED flash for taking pictures in low-light rooms. Sony Xperia C5 Ultra arrives with a 2930 mAh battery, unit that according to the producer offers up to 14 hours of talk time.
Being a 6-inch device, Xperia C5 Ultra is not as light as other smartphones available on the market – its weight – 187 grams. This new phablet will be available on white, green and black for a $350 price tag (according to rumors).
