A few days ago we got to see the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact and the Z5 pictured next to an iPhone 6, as all of the handsets were “practicing” their fingerprint scanning abilities. Now we get another leak, showing us the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact from their profiles, highlighting the Power button.
Said button integrates the fingerprint scanner, apparently. It’s also a change from the protruding metal round button, that was an Xperia trademark. Now, the On/Off button has become elongated and bigger, much like a Home button rival devices. Both Z5 models have it and rumors say that these handsets will come at IFA 2015 next month.
The source of the leak is @ViziLeaks and from what I can see, the Xperia Z5 is very slim, while the Compact model is a bit bulkier. The metal frame is still here and I can’t help but notice the strange placement of the volume buttons, below and not above the Power button. Last we heard, the Xperia Z5 was coming with the same Omnibalance design, a Full HD 5.5 inch screen, Snapdragon 810 CPU and 3 GB of RAM.
Expect more leaks in the next few weeks.
