HP and Research in Motion (RIM) have just announced a historic partnership, a strategic alliance meant to deliver new mobile business solutions via the BlackBerry platform. Among these solutions there’s also the support for BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0, but the two companies’ alliance will also increase service levels and productivity.

Meanwhile, we learn that HP will soon be demo-ing two new solutions at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium in Orlando: HP CloudPrint for BlackBerry smartphones and HP Operations Manager for BlackBerry Enterprise Server, proving that the partnership is already taking effect.

HP CloudPrint for BlackBerry Smartphones is based on web services and it allows user to print emails, documents and photos, even web pages, simply by using a BlackBerry smartphone on the go. This is a driverless service that just requires the user to have Internet access.

The technology was delivered by HP Labs and it’ll be available to BlackBerry Internet Service subscribers and BlackBerry Enterprise Server customers. More info on the partnership can be found over here.
