It appears that Chinese device makers are somehow attempting to counter the iPad Pro and rumored 12 inch Samsung tablets by making their own big screen slates. Tablet News has a first impression article about the Cube i7 Remix, one of those tablets from the pre emptive strike of the Chinese makers.
Samsung basically started it all with the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, that was received relatively well, considering how huge it was. Now everyone is talking about the iPad Pro, that’s said to come in September. But the Cube i7 Remix isn’t half bad, especially since it’s priced below $200, with for a 11.6 inch tablet is excellent. It runs Remix OS, which is a customized version of Android, optimized to look more like Windows 10 or a PC experience.
i7 Remix features an unibody metal case and it’s quite heavy at 720 grams. It brings a 2 megapixel front camera, mini HDMI port and a microSD card slot. At its core is a quad core Intel Z3735F processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz, accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The 11.6 inch display offers a Full HD resolution and we’ve also got a 5 megapixel main camera on board.
