Nokia has recently announced that it plans on giving some Finnish firms 100 business ideas that were not used till now. These business opportunities will be used to increase the potential of Finland’s economy, as the home country of Nokia is expected to experience a 5% economical drop this year.
The new program is a public-private one and grants open access to state investments for companies that want to be a part of it. 300 firms have announced their interest in this matter till now and it should be noted that most of them are outside the IT industry.
There’s even a concrete foundry on the interested companies’ list, wanting to have a go at Nokia’s ideas. This could get interesting, since location-based services could aid in the concrete pouring process, plus there are tons of other uses for Nokia’s expertise.
