China Telecom announced today a very interesting handset from Gionee, one with a dual display. This model is called Gionee W900S and it comes with LTE connectivity, as well as a folding design.

It’s basically a flip phone from what I can see, with a numeric keypad and a part of the W900 specs kept, with modifications. W900S runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and packs a MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. The internal screen is a 4 inch 480 x 800 pixel LCD, while the other one is a LCD with the same diagonal and the same resolution.

There are two cameras here, a front 5 MP shooter and a main 13 megapixel unit, with CMOS sensors. LTE Category 4 is also here, with up to 150 Mbps download speeds and this one is a dual SIM model with micro SIM card slots. Gionee W900S has Bluetooth 4.0 support, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, as well as a 2500 mAh battery. It’s interesting to see a flip phone colored in gold, since usually they’re black or white.

The price of the device is about $678. Below you can see the W900 for the sake of comparison:
