As expected, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal was unveiled today and it’s proving to be a pleasant surprise. We’re dealing with an affordable smartphone with a metal chassis and fingerprint scanner on board.
The device will be initially only available in China and it’s already up for preorder with a store date of November 2nd. This model is a 5.5 inch phablet, with Android 5.0 on board, that has the brand new Flyme 5.0 on top and a MediaTek Helio X10 processor inside. Blue Charm Metal measures 8.2 mm in thickness, weighs 162 grams and brings a beautifully rounded metal body.
The screen is a LTPS LCD with Full HD resolution and other specs include 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a main 13 megapixel camera with F/2.2 lens. For selfies we have a 5 MP shooter and the battery here is a 3140 mAh unit. The product comes in 5 colors: white, grey, blue, gold and pink and its new Flyme OS has modernized icons, improved styling and even a brand new health and fitness app called “lifekit.
Cashless payments are also supported and the smartphone is priced at $173 in the 16 GB version or $205 in the 32 GB one.
