Philips Xenium handsets are popular for their battery capacity and also for the long hours of functioning time they provide. They easily go past 10 or 20 hours of talk time and some of them stand out through sturdy designs and special traits, like power saving buttons. The latter also seems to appear on the newcomer Philips Xenium V787.
This model has just been certified by the Chinese authority TENAA, getting thus closer and closer to the launch time. The handset measures 9.8 mm in thickness and weighs 164 grams, plus it packs a 5 inch TFT Full HD screen. It also brings a quad core 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and runs Android 5.1. There’s a 13 megapixel back camera and a front 5 MP shooter, as well as 8 GB of storage.
A microSD card slot is here, plus the usual GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi, obviously. The case seems to be a combo of glass and metal, with a speaker at the back and that extra button, that feels like a mute switch, but it may be related to power saving.
