Today, the Indian producer Lava announced a new cheap smartphone device, this time a low-end one called Iris Atom X2. The phone is priced at just $70, and for this price tag brings some interesting specs, and also Android 5.1 Lollipop as default operating system.
In the hardware department, we’re getting a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS display (854 x 480 pixels), a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM memory and 8 GB space of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot up to 32 GB and dual-SIM support with dual standby. Lava Iris Atom X2 packs a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.
For the selfie lovers out there, this smartphone doesn’t impress, bringing just a 0.3-megapixel sensor. On the connectivity side we have FM Radio, 3G+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3.5 mm audio jack. We’ll a 2000 mAh battery in the pack too.
