Uhans U100 is a smartphone you probably haven’t heard about, but it appears to be a stylish piece of work, judging by the pictures below. They’ve just appeared on the web, showing a leather back for this model.
Taking into account both the leather and metal portion with the camera, this certainly feels a bit like a Vertu device. The back of the phone says “Reaching the world at your fingertips” and the design is quite compact, with the handset being pretty narrow. Uhans claims that the leather on the back is real, genuine cowhide, so that’s good news, in case you thought it was plastic meant to mimic leather.
However, the folks of Gizchina, who did a hands on with the phone aren’t very confident that this is really leather, since the finish and smell are different from what one expects in that case. The silver area at the back seems to be covered in metal, but there’s some alignment problem with the camera lens in that region.
The facade is very angular and the bottom part feels like the front side of a supercar, with those speakers included below the capacitive buttons. This is a midrange phone with a 4.7 inch HD display, a 5 megapixel front camera, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, as well as a MediaTek MT6735P processor.
