A China-ready version of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) has passed the FCC certification process, after the product has become official over the past weeks. This model is codenamed SM-A5108 and you can check it out below.
The passage of tests happened yesterday and the device comes with TD-LTE support, WCDMA and GSM, as well as Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC certification. It does WiFi in the a/b/g/n IEEE 802.11 standards and comes with dual band support. This model is going to be sold by China Mobile and it’s available with a full metal body, a 13 megapixel back camera with OIS and LED flash, plus a 5 MP selfie shooter.
There’s also 16 GB of storage on board, a microSD Card slot and a 2600 mAh battery. Galaxy A5 (2016) relies on a 5.2 inch Full HD display and it’s powered by an octa core 1.5 GHz Exynos processor, as well as 2 GB of RAM and a Mali GPU. Android 5.1 is the OS of choice, but it may hit the stores with Marshmallow.
