Switzerland is the mother of all chocolate, but also watches and the local brands can’t stay away from smartwatch partnerships it seems. Word’s out that Samsung is working with Swiss jeweler Grisogono on the Gear S3 model.
They’ve already cooperated on a Gear S2 with a diamond studded version, that looks very hot. The two firms are now at work on a “super luxury” limited edition of the Gear S3, a watch that hasn’t even been announced yet. Gear S2 debuted in August 2015, or better said it was teased, before it was actually showcased at IFA 2015.
This means we have to wait for the summer to pass to see its successor. A Grisogono official has apparently already confirmed the deal, but only mentioned a “next gen smartwatch”. The price will probably be high, since the Grisogono Gear S2 went for $15,000. Only 100 units were made each month, with white and black diamonds and rose gold inserts. Expect Tizen and a rotating bezel to be in the mix.
