Meizu launched a new phone today, one that pertains to the low-midrange area and comes with a 5 inch HD screen and a $92 price tag. This model is known as the Meizu M3 and it’s pictured below, in a nice shade of blue.
This is the follow-up to the entry level m2 unit and it keeps the same base price of $92, but also brings some upgrades. For example the chipset goes to a MediaTek MT6750 (octa core), that replaces the MT6735 of the predecessor. There will be two versions of the phone, one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage and one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. A microSD card slot will be present on both.
The device has a polycarbonate body and a 5 inch 720p screen, but this time there’s a 2.5D glass panel upfront. Meizu M3 packs a 2870 mAh battery, a 300+ mAh bump from the predecessor and all of that is crammed into an 8.3 mm thick body. I’d say the camera is excellent considering the price: a 13 megapixel shooter with F/2.2 aperture and PDAF, while upfront there’s a 5 MP selfie cam.
LTE and a variety of colors choices are here, too.
