ASUS took the wraps off a new phone today and while it may not be the famed ZenFone 3, it’s still interesting. The device is part of the ZenFone 2 family still and it’s dubbed ASUS ZenFone GO TV.

TVGO

As the name indicates, we’re dealing with a TV-oriented device, meant for media consumption. It comes with a digital TV chip, with support for the likes of DVB-T2/DVB-T2 Lite/DVB-T/ISDB-T, plus a variety of types of TV signals. The model packs modest specs, including 2 GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 400 CPU, that feels kind of old nowadays, as well as 16 GB of storage.

It has a 13 megapixel camera with PixelMaster tech, as well as a 5 MP front shooter, both with F/2.0 aperture. Coming in black, white and blue, the device goes live in stores tomorrow, with a price tag of $167. By the way, this is also a dual SIM phone, with a 5.5 inch HD screen to view all those TV programs.
