The Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 has been rumored for a while now, as the higher clocked version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and today we learn that the new CPU may arrive on the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe.
That model was announced with the Zenfone 3 and ZenFone 3 Ultra at this week’s Computex. However, it appears that while some regions of the world will get it with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU inside, others will get it with the Snapdragon 823. Apparently, India, China and Philippines will get this version. The price of the standard model is $499 and the price of the one based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 isn’t known yet.
The device should keep the full metal body and invisible antenna design, plus of course Android Marshmallow with Zen UI 3.0 on top. The screen remains a 5.7 inch Full HD unit with Super AMOLED panel and we’re also getting 4 or 6 GB of RAM. Then there’s a 3000 mAh battery and a 23 megapixel back camera with OIS and laser focus.
As far as the clock rate goes, the S823 reaches up to 3 GHz in frequency, quite impressive.
