We’ve heard multiple rumors about the Huawei Honor 8 lately and saw it certified, but today we learn about its launch date. It has been teased on Weibo for July 11th and it’ll take place in Shanghai.
This model receives a dual camera setup, much like the Huawei Honor V8 phablet and Huawei P9, plus a series of high end specs. It’s a 5.2 inch device with a Full HD resolution and relies on an octa core HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor, clocked at 2.3 GHz. There’s also an infrared emitter in the mix, a front 8 MP camera for selfies and the back cam relies on two 12 MP sensors.
There will be 3 versions of the phone, the core one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, priced at $306, plus a 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage one and finally a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage one. The launch takes place in the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center and it will include a concert.
It remains to be seen if the device also debuts internationally. Last I heard this model was coming with a glass panel at the front and back, so it promises to be very good looking.
