Karbonn, one of the solid Android One partners debuted a new affordable phone in India launched a new device today, called Karbonn Fashion Eye. It’s a 5 inch HD device, with an 8 megapixel camera and a price of just $81.
It’s up for sale on Amazon India and eBay India and it offers a fully laminated 2.5D curved IPS screen with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. Inside we find a quad core CPU, clocked at 1.3 GHz, together with 1 GB of RAM and I’m willing to bet that the CPU is a MediaTek one. Anyway, we also get Android 5.1 Lollipop as the OS and we’ve got 3G connectivity in the mix too.
This is a dual SIM phone with 8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and 3G HSPA+. From what I can see, there’s no 4G LTE. We’ve got an 8 megapixel back camera with LED flash and autofocus and a 3.2 MP front shooter. Its battery is a 2000 mAh unit, good enough for a day of use.
