It appears more and more that Meizu’s smartwatch event scheduled for August 10th will in fact also brings us new phones. One of them may be the freshly leaked Meizu M1E, a mystery device that we haven’t heard of before.
One could easily mistake it for the m3s model, that was recently released. The handset sports a metal unibody case, with rounded back and antenna cutouts. The front side is pretty clean and the bezels are big by current standards. The round flash for the main camera reminds us of the MX6 model, plus the Pro 6 unit, but the antennae format is a bit different.
One of the pictures of this newcomer mentions a MediaTek MT6755, aka the Helio P10. It also mentions a 5.5 inch Full HD screen, 3 GB of RAM and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as the OS, with Flyme OS 5.2.1 on top. Upfront we get the standard mTouch Home button, that combines a regular home button with a fingerprint scanner. Expect to hear more about it in a bit over a week. One last mention from me is that this device looks a tad too big to be just another 5.5 incher.
