Choosing to launch the Nokia N86 cameraphone on the same day with the iPhone 3GS launch is a pretty bad idea, but maybe the handset will sell well enough to please the Finnish manufacturer. Expect it to go on sale in the UK on Friday, June 19, for a yet unknown price.

Nokia N86 packs an 8 megapixel camera, 8GB of internal memory, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB) and a 2.6 inch AMOLED display with a 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

Back to the camera, it comes with a wide 28mm Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus, dual LED flash, geotagging, VGA video recording at 30 fps and there’s also a secondary videocall camera on the specs list. Nokia N86 will be running Symbian OS S60 rel. 3.2 and it’ll pack an ARM 11 434 MHz CPU, Stereo FM radio with RDS and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP.
