The Orange Dive 71 is the latest handset we’re testing these days and we’ve just unboxed it for you after the break. We’re dealing here with a model priced at around 121 euros on Orange France, where it was launched in mid July. This device has just 1 GB of RAM, but also a lot of class.
It’s actually the ZTE Blade A506 rebranded and it’s also available for 1 euro on contract. Inside the box we find a charger, USB cable, manual, metal key to access the slots and headphones. The phone brings an unibody case, with a glass front and back and a metal frame, covered in a soft touch material. Orange Dive 71 has a 5.2 inch HD screen, as well as a quad core MediaTek CPU and 1 GB of RAM.
There’s 8 GB of storage on board, a microSD card slot and an 8 megapixel main camera. Upfront there’s a 5 MP selfie shooter and the OS here is Android 6.0 Marshmallow, covered up with a very playful UI, that reminds me of the HTC Sense latest stickers and freestyle UI. Obviously, since it’s a carrier branded phone, we get 4G LTE and then there’s also WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
The battery inside is a 2540 mAh unit and I was surprised to see that the camera UI is quite good looking for an 8 MP unit. We’ll be back with a full review soon.
