LeEco and Coolpad are preparing a new smartphone, that they’ll launch together. The device is dubbed Cool 1 and it’s going to be a dual camera phone. It comes as a first project after LeEco bought a 11% stake in Coolpad.
Coolpad posted the teaser above on its Weibo account, confirming the Cool 1 model and its dual camera setup. It appears this device will have a metal body and a fingerprint scanner at the back. Rumors mention that the Android experience here will be tweaked in dual fashion, with both LeEco EUI and Coolpad CoolUI on top. How that will happen we don’t know. The specs of the handset are said to include a 5.5 inch Quad HD screen, a Snapdragon 820 CPU and 4 GB of RAM.
There’s also 64 GB of storage, a 3500 mAh battery and an unveiling should go down on August 10th. Sadly there’s no clear data about the dual camera at the back, but odds are that we’ll see the same Sony sensors as those on the Huawei P9 or even the upcoming iPhone 7 Pro.
